Gangtey Gompa Trek |

This is a combination of moderate and
easy treks. It starts at Phubjika Valley
at 3000m, which is one of the few
glacial valleys of Bhutan . It is the
home of the rare black-necked cranes,
which migrate here in the winter from
Tibetan Plateau in the north. The valley
of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful
places in Bhutan and houses the century
old Gangtey Gompa , the only Nyingmapa
monastery in Western of Bhutan. You will
trek through the villages of Gogona and
Khotoka passing through meadows, fields
and forests of Juniper, Magnolia and
Rhododendron. This is one of the finest
low-level treks in Bhutan .

Paro- Sightseeing and drive to Thimphu

Thimpu and sightseeing. Overnight hotel

Drive 5 hours to Gangey via Punakaha.
Overnight camp or lodge

Trek begins from Gangtey Gogona. 5/6
hours. Camp at 2700m

Day 6:

Trek over Shobju La
(3600m) and camp at Khotokha (2800m)

Day 7:
|
Climb over Tashila pass ( 2780m and trek
ends at Chuzomsa

Day 8:
|
Chuzomsa – drive to Paro

Visit Visit Tiger's Nest
